Since DBI started in May 2018, we have mentored over 70 girls impacted by parental incarceration in New Orleans and the surrounding areas.
We provide girls with incarcerated parents, ages 8-18 with a safe space to learn and grow. Our after-school programming is Monday – Thursday from 4:30pm – 6:30pm at our offices that was created by girls just like them. We equipped them with tools to learn:

DOMINQUE JONES-JOHNSON
DBI understands the unique barriers that girls with incarcerated parents face every day. Enroll your daughter and be a part of a community that supports young girls, ages 8 to 18, teaching them that not every challenge will be an uphill climb.
Daughters Beyond Incarceration’s monthly newsletter keeps you up-to-date on events, inspirational stories from our girls, real talk from our CEO, and news about how we are changing policy.
